Position Description
As the IT Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the firm’s technology infrastructure, ensuring efficient operations of hardware, software, and security, allowing for smooth operations across all IT systems. You will serve as the primary liaison between the firm and our Managed IT Service Provider (MSP), managing efficient IT service delivery, troubleshooting, and project coordination. This position will also involve providing basic desktop support for smooth and effective IT operations across the organization. This role requires strong technical expertise, communication skills, commitment to providing high-quality support to staff, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in both on-site and remote settings.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact between the firm and the MSP, ensuring service level agreements are met and issues are resolved.
- Oversee IT projects, including cloud migrations, platform evaluations, and software integrations.
- Provide first-level troubleshooting and break/fix support for staff in-office and remotely.
- Escalate complex issues to the MSP as needed.
- Collaborate with department heads to assess technology needs and implement solutions with the MSP.
- Manage IT asset inventory and coordinate hardware/software procurement with the MSP.
- Assist in developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures with the MSP.
- Offer training and ongoing support for staff on common applications and systems.
- Monitor and report on IT performance, user satisfaction, and emerging issues.
- Contribute to IT budget planning and alignment with firm goals.
- Coordinate annual Security Awareness Training and maintain security best practices.
- Oversee semi-annual vulnerability assessments and annual penetration testing.
- Recommend improvements to office technology hardware and configurations.
- Lead firmwide training on software, IT security, and internal policies.
- Maintain the security and integrity of IT systems and networks.
- Oversee technology onboarding and offboarding for employees.
- Manage vendor relations to ensure timely support and issue resolution.
Education & Experience
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology
- 2+ years of information technology experience
- CompTIA A+ and Network + Certifications preferred
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and hybrid work environments.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365 and Citrix environments.
- Experience managing relationships with IT service providers or vendors.
- Basic understanding of IT security best practices and compliance requirements.

- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple IT projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with strong time-management skills.
