CAAS Manager
Alexa Bayes is a CAAS Manager at Thompson Greenspon. Joining the firm in 2026, Alexa brings over a decade of experience in helping clients navigate complex accounting requirements. Her career began in Big 4, where she obtained her Chartered Accountant designation. She later transitioned into industry, driving a large-scale accounting conversion project for a major bank in New Zealand. In the last few years before joining Thompson Greenspon, Alexa worked as a Financial Controller for a multi-subsidiary organization.
Alexa thrives on bridging the gap between our clients’ day-to-day accounting and their high-level growth. She enjoys stepping into challenging financial situations to untangle data, implement robust systems and deliver transformative value to clients.

On a Personal Note
Alexa speaks Afrikaans and is currently learning Spanish—she’s always happy to practice with anyone willing to help! She enjoys challenging herself in the gym, caring for her backyard chickens, and spending quality time with her family exploring the parks and outdoor spaces throughout Northern Virginia.
