Since our formation in 1956, the firm’s people-centric focus and dedication to service has not only applied to clients and employees, but to individuals and families who make up the communities in which we do business.
We believe that community service starts at the top, with many of our partners sitting on charitable and not-for-profit boards and contributing regularly to programs that help the under-privileged in our society. Thompson Greenspon supports many different community programs both through our charitable giving as well as providing our staff with paid time off to participate in company-wide community volunteer programs, or by encouraging them to pursue their own individual causes. The most important thing is that they get involved and support a cause that they care about.
Thompson Greenspon’s Community Highlights
Since 2010, on a quarterly basis, a collection of Thompson Greenspon employees participate in the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) Adopt-a-Highway program by picking up trash and debris on Ridge Top Road where our office has been located since 2003. VDOT estimates that the Adopt-a-Highway program saves the commonwealth over $1.35 million that would have otherwise gone to clean up Virginia’s roads.
Thompson Greenspon also holds regular drives throughout the year including an annual diaper drive for babies in need, and holiday drives for families in need. We also host a volunteer day, allowing staff to dedicate time supporting local nonprofits. Throughout our years in business, Thompson Greenspon has donated to over 34 local charities and nonprofits, and that list continues to grow.
