Eric Fletcher, CPA, leads Thompson Greenspon’s Private Client Services practice and has more than 30 years of experience helping closely-held businesses, high-earning professionals, and multigenerational family groups. He partners with clients over decades, taking time to understand their values, family dynamics, business priorities, and long-term goals so planning stays practical, coordinated, and focused on what matters most. Eric helps clients align tax strategy with business decisions, estate planning, and legacy priorities to preserve wealth, support continuity, and plan confidently across generations.
Eric serves many family businesses operating in the construction and real estate industries. He also advises high-income individuals and professional services firms. His experience spans income and business tax planning, succession and estate planning, mergers and acquisitions, family governance, and rising generation education. He is known for combining a deep technical understanding of tax law with a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
Eric has authored numerous articles on tax and business planning for trade journals and business publications and frequently presents to business groups and trade associations. In 2025 and 2026, he was named a Top Financial Professional by Northern Virginia Magazine.

On a Personal Note
Eric completed the coursework for a minor in Art History while studying at Auburn University and is now an enthusiastic collector of emerging artists.
