Wally Simmons is a manager in the tax department of Thompson Greenspon. He is responsible for the review of Federal and multi-state tax returns, as well as tax compliance and planning strategies for a variety of clients, including government contractors, construction, real estate, closely-held businesses and individuals. He has spent the past 20 years in the tax accounting field and has held positions in both public accounting and private industry dealing with real estate, land development, commercial and residential property management, government contracting, and nonprofit organizations. Throughout his career, Wally has believed excellent client service is paramount and looks forward to applying that practice to Thompson Greenspon’s clients.

Wally holds a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland University College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and has participated in continuing education throughout his career.

Wally grew up in the DC Metropolitan area. He lives with his wife and two young sons in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
